Start of the rest and recreation season at the CNTU "Sosnovy Hay" base in Svitlovodsk
As always at the end of the academic year, the CNTU recreational base «Pine Grove», which is located on the bank of the Dnipro in a pine forest in the city of Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad Oblast.
In 2021, the trade union and administration of CNTU began restoring the recreation center. Compared to previous years, more university employees and staff from separate structural units, along with their families, have been vacationing at the center annually. It is very difficult to forecast attendance in our current times. This is influenced by many different factors, such as weather, financial, and psychological, but preparatory work for the start of the season begins every year.
As reported by Dmytro Holub, head of the trade union of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, by the month of May, the base is always cleared of dry leaves, lighting in the cabins is updated with energy-saving LED lamps, bed linen is changed, water from the well is tested, contracts for the removal of solid household waste are concluded, the painting of sports and children's playgrounds is updated, and inspection, preparation, cleaning, and routine maintenance of the cabins are carried out, with soft and hard inventory being updated as necessary.
