SEED FUND FOR RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
CNTU - WINNER OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEED FUND FOR RESEARCH EXCELLENCE PROJECT COMPETITION
Central Ukrainian National Technical University has won the international Seed Fund for Research Excellence competition, which is implemented with the support of the Cormack Consultancy Group as part of the Twinning (UK) initiative and is aimed at developing inter-university scientific cooperation, increasing research capacity, and preparing competitive grant applications.
Based on the results of the competitive selection, for which 234 applications were submitted from various countries around the world, only 22 projects were selected for funding. The project of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, TWIN-MENTOR (CUNTU-UNC Twinning Mentorship Network), was among the best, confirming the high level of the university's scientific potential and its ability for effective international cooperation.
TWIN-MENTOR involves the creation of an institutionally established mentorship network between the Central Ukrainian National Technical University (Ukraine) and the National University of Córdoba (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) (Argentina), which is one of the largest universities in Argentina.
The implementation of the project is aimed at forming a modern model for the development of the university's scientific potential through the introduction of a structured "Mentor-Mentee" interaction system, which will ensure effective knowledge transfer, improve the quality of scientific research, develop interdisciplinary cooperation, and prepare joint international projects.
Within the framework of the project, thematic research clusters will be formed in priority areas of modern economy and science development. A series of mentorship sessions, scientific and practical workshops, and intensives are planned, aimed at preparing concept notes, grant applications, and scientific publications using international standards of academic writing and internal peer review.
The expected results of the project implementation include the preparation of joint scientific publications, the submission of international grant applications, in particular to Erasmus+, FONTAGRO, and other donor initiatives, as well as the creation of a universal toolkit for research support, including application templates, logical framework matrices, donor requirement checklists, and recommendations for research data management.
An important strategic result will be the increase in the university's institutional capacity in the field of international scientific activity, the standardization of project application preparation processes, the development of an internal mentorship system, and the integration of the university into the global academic space.
The total funding for the project is 27,000 British pounds. Implementation period: from April 2026 to February 2027.
The administration of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University notes that winning the competition in a highly competitive environment is an important step in strengthening the university's international presence, developing scientific schools, and increasing the competitiveness of researchers at the global level.
The implementation of the TWIN-MENTOR project will contribute to the formation of a new quality of scientific activity, the development of partnerships, and the preparation of the university for participation in large-scale international research programs.
ЦНТУ - ПЕРЕМОЖЕЦЬ МІЖНАРОДНОГО КОНКУРСУ ПРОЄКТІВ SEED FUND FOR RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
Центральноукраїнський національний технічний університет здобув перемогу у міжнародному конкурсі Seed Fund for Research Excellence, що реалізується за підтримки Cormack Consultancy Group в межах ініціативи Twinning (Великобританія) та спрямований на розвиток міжуніверситетської наукової співпраці, підвищення дослідницької спроможності та підготовку конкурентоспроможних грантових заявок.
За результатами конкурсного відбору, в якому було подано 234 заявки з різних країн світу, до фінансування відібрано лише 22 проєкти. Проєкт Центральноукраїнського національного технічного університету TWIN-MENTOR (CUNTU-UNC Twinning Mentorship Network) увійшов до числа найкращих, підтвердивши високий рівень наукового потенціалу університету та його здатність до ефективної міжнародної співпраці.
TWIN-MENTOR передбачає створення інституційно закріпленої менторської мережі між Центральноукраїнським національним технічним університетом (Україна) та Національним університетом Кордови (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) (Аргентина), який є одним із найбільших університетів Аргентини.
Реалізація проєкту спрямована на формування сучасної моделі розвитку наукового потенціалу університету через запровадження структурованої системи взаємодії «Mentor-Mentee», що забезпечить ефективний трансфер знань, підвищення якості наукових досліджень, розвиток міждисциплінарної співпраці та підготовку спільних міжнародних проєктів.
У межах проєкту буде сформовано тематичні дослідницькі кластери за пріоритетними напрямами розвитку сучасної економіки та науки. Передбачено проведення серії менторських сесій, науково-практичних воркшопів та інтенсивів, спрямованих на підготовку концепт-нотів, грантових заявок і наукових публікацій із застосуванням міжнародних стандартів академічного письма та внутрішнього рецензування.
Очікуваними результатами реалізації проєкту є підготовка спільних наукових публікацій, подання міжнародних грантових заявок, зокрема до програм Erasmus+, FONTAGRO та інших донорських ініціатив, а також створення універсального набору інструментів підтримки досліджень, включаючи шаблони заявок, логіко-структурні матриці, чек-листи відповідності вимогам донорів та рекомендації щодо управління науковими даними.
Важливим стратегічним результатом стане підвищення інституційної спроможності університету у сфері міжнародної наукової діяльності, стандартизація процесів підготовки проєктних заявок, розвиток системи внутрішнього менторства та інтеграція університету до глобального академічного простору.
Загальний обсяг фінансування проєкту становить 27 000 фунтів стерлінгів. Термін реалізації: з квітня 2026 року до лютого 2027 року.
Адміністрація Центральноукраїнського національного технічного університету відзначає, що перемога у конкурсі в умовах високої конкуренції є важливим кроком у посиленні міжнародної присутності університету, розвитку наукових шкіл та підвищенні конкурентоспроможності дослідників на глобальному рівні.
Реалізація проєкту TWIN-MENTOR сприятиме формуванню нової якості наукової діяльності, розвитку партнерських зв’язків та підготовці університету до участі у масштабних міжнародних дослідницьких програмах.
