The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has approved the general characteristics of the subject tests for the 2026 National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) and the scoring schemes for completing their tasks.
Tests in Ukrainian language, Ukrainian literature, History of Ukraine, biology and geography will contain 30 tasks each, 24 tasks for chemistry, 22 for mathematics and physics, and 32 for foreign language (English, Spanish, German, French).
All NMT tasks will correspond to the content of the External Independent Evaluation (ZNO) programs for academic subjects.
It is intended that each subject test will contain sets of tasks of different formats:
- with the choice of one answer (all subjects);
- with the choice of three answers (History of Ukraine, geography, biology);
- on establishing correspondence ("logical pairs") (Ukrainian language, History of Ukraine, Ukrainian literature, biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry);
- on establishing correspondence (foreign language);
- on filling in the blanks in a text (foreign language);
- on establishing a sequence (History of Ukraine);
- with a short written answer (mathematics, geography, physics, chemistry).
The evaluation of the answers provided by the participant for the tasks of each NMT subject will be carried out in accordance with the scoring schemes, similar to those used in the ZNO.
Since there will be no open-ended tasks with extended responses in any subject test, each participant will find out their number of test points immediately after finishing the NMT.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has published the Procedure for Admission to Higher Education in 2026 (hereinafter – the Procedure). Approved by the order dated February 26, 2026, No. 373, the document defines the main principles and procedures that higher education institutions will follow when organizing the admission of applicants.
On some features of the 2026 admission campaign for bachelor's programs
The entrance examination for bachelor's programs at higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2026 will be conducted in the format of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). As part of the NMT, each participant will complete tasks in four academic subjects, three of which are mandatory (Ukrainian language, mathematics, and history of Ukraine), and one is elective from the list (Ukrainian literature, foreign language (English, German, French, Spanish), biology, chemistry, physics, geography). The applicant will specify the elective subject during registration for the NMT.

Since the characteristics of the NMT certification work do not provide for open-ended tasks with an extended response, each participant will learn the number of test points scored for each NMT subject immediately after taking the test. Within the timeframes defined by the calendar plan, these points will be converted to a 100–200 scale and posted in the participant's personal account under the "Results" tab. By the way, tables for converting test points to the 100–200 scale are provided in Appendix 5 to the Procedure.
Please note that for admission, in addition to the results of the 2026 NMT, it will also be possible to use the results of the 2023–2025 NMT. Information on what will be taken into account when calculating the competitive score is provided in Section IV of the Procedure.
Міністерство освіти і науки України оприлюднило Порядок прийому на навчання для здобуття вищої освіти в 2026 році (далі – Порядок). Затверджений наказом від 26 лютого 2026 року № 373 документ визначає основні принципи та процедури, якими керуватимуться заклади вищої освіти під час організації прийому вступників.
Про деякі особливості вступної кампанії у 2026 році на бакалаврські програми
Випробування для вступу на бакалаврські програми до закладів вищої освіти України у 2026 році буде проведено у форматі національного мультипредметного тесту (НМТ). У межах НМТ кожен учасник буде виконувати завдання із чотирьох навчальних предметів, три з яких є обов’язковими (українська мова, математика та історія України), а один — на вибір із переліку (українська література, іноземна мова (англійська, німецька, французька, іспанська), біологія, хімія, фізика, географія). Предмет на вибір вступник вказуватиме під час реєстрації для участі в НМТ.

Оскільки характеристикою сертифікаційної роботи НМТ не передбачено завдань відкритої форми з розгорнутою відповіддю, одразу після проходження тесту кожний учасник дізнається про кількість набраних тестових балів за виконання завдань із кожного предмета НМТ. У визначені календарним планом строки ці бали буде переведено до шкали 100–200 і розміщено в його персональному кабінеті у вкладці «Результати». До речі, таблиці переведення тестових балів до шкали 100–200 подано в додатку 5 до Порядку.
Зауважте, що для вступу, крім результатів НМТ 2026 року, також можна буде використовувати результати НМТ 2023–2025. Інформацію про те, що братимуть до уваги під час розрахунку конкурсного бала, наведено в розділі ІV Порядку.
Admission-2026 for a Bachelor's degree: what an applicant needs to know
Features of the competitive selection
Admission to higher education institutions for a Bachelor's degree and medical Master's degree will be based on the results of the national multi-subject test (NMT) or interviews in NMT subjects in case of preferential admission.
The number and structure of NMT tests remain unchanged for the third year in a row. Tests in three subjects will be mandatory: Ukrainian language, mathematics, and history of Ukraine. The applicant will choose one more subject from the provided list: Ukrainian literature, geography, biology, physics, chemistry, English, German, French, or Spanish.
The minimum, or "threshold," score that an applicant must achieve on the NMT to receive 100 rating points and the right to apply to universities at all will be slightly increased for two mandatory subjects. The increase will apply to the Ukrainian language (from 7 to 8 test points) and the history of Ukraine (from 8 to 9 test points).
Instead of the 2026 NMT results, it will be possible to use the results of the 2023, 2024, or 2025 NMT or the results of national final exams after secondary school in European countries.
Applicants for arts and sports specialties will take not only the multi-subject test but also a creative competition at the higher education institution. Its weight compared to all NMT subjects will be increased. To calculate the competitive score in 2026, a weighting coefficient of 0.7 will be used for the creative competition score for arts specialties.
In 2026, all applicants who take a creative competition or other entrance exams at an educational institution will provide consent for video recording of their exams, with subsequent publication and storage of the recordings for one year.
Calculation of the competitive score
All applicants in 2026 will participate in the competitive selection using the same competitive score calculation.
To calculate the competitive score of applicants, weighting coefficients for NMT subjects and the creative competition will be used.
Also, the calculation formula will include regional and sectoral coefficients, as well as an additional 15 points if the applicant successfully completes a "zero course" at the higher education institution where they are submitting their application.
Applicants will be admitted to the competitive selection for state-funded places if they have a competitive score of at least 130.
For applicants to specialties C1 "Economics and International Economic Relations", D4 "Public Management and Administration", the competitive score cannot be less than 150.
Innovations for certain privileged categories
In 2026, the preservation of quotas, benefits, and privileged categories is provided, in particular for residents of temporarily occupied territories.
At the same time, in 2026, the Ministry of Education and Science clarified that applicants belonging to certain privileged categories will be able to choose the basis for their admission: privileged applicants will have the right to both take the NMT and enter via an interview.
However, if they do not achieve the required threshold score in at least one subject based on the NMT results, such applicants lose the right to a state-funded place. That is, they will be able to pass an interview at the university, but will have the right to enroll only on a contract basis.
The list of such privileged categories will include persons recognized as victims of the Revolution of Dignity, persons with disabilities due to war, combatants, as well as applicants planning to study on a contract basis for another specialty based on a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Nuances of the admission campaign
Important innovations of 2026 are the refusal of the Ministry of Education and Science to require motivation letters for admission and a reduction in the number of applications.
For admission, as in previous years, the applicant will have to create an electronic cabinet from July 1 to October 15, where they will submit applications, track the progress of the admission campaign, and confirm admission recommendations.
During the admission campaign, an applicant will be able to submit up to 12 applications for admission, including up to 5 applications for state-funded places.
For all applications, both for state-funded and contract places, that the applicant submits during the main period of the admission campaign, they must assign priorities that indicate the degree of their desire to study exactly where the application is submitted, where 1 is the highest priority.
At the same time, if an applicant plans to participate in additional waves of recruitment for contract places, which are held after the end of the main period, they must "leave unused," i.e., not submitted during the main period, several applications, because 12 is the total maximum number of applications that an applicant can submit until October 15.
Based on the results of the competitive selection, applicants who submitted applications during the main period will be provided with recommendations for enrollment according to the address placement algorithm.
The publication of the list of those recommended for state-funded and contract places, with information about the provision of recommendations in the applicants' electronic cabinets, will be carried out no later than August 6.
Applicants who have received recommendations for enrollment must confirm their choice of study place, fulfill the enrollment requirements, and conclude a study contract by 18:00 on August 9.

After the applicant is included in the enrollment order, all other applications are deactivated; their reactivation can be carried out by the applicant through the applicant's electronic cabinet or at the admissions office if necessary.
Grant support
Applicants who score over 140-150 points on the NMT and enroll on a contract basis will be able to apply for a state grant for higher education.
Such financial support from the state partially, and in some cases fully, reimburses the cost of the student's contract-based education.
The amount of state reimbursement depends on the number of points the NMT participant scored, the specialty the applicant enrolls in, and the location of the higher education institution where the student will study. You can learn more about grant support via the link.
Вступ-2026 на бакалавра: що необхідно знати вступнику
Особливості конкурсного відбору
Вступ до закладів вищої освіти на бакалаврат та в медичну магістратуру відбуватиметься на підставі результатів національного мультипредметного тесту або співбесід із предметів НМТ у разі пільгового вступу.
Кількість і структура тестів НМТ залишається третій рік поспіль незмінною. Обов’язковими будуть тести з трьох предметів: української мови, математики, історії України. Ще один предмет вступник обиратиме з поданого переліку: українська література, географія, біологія, фізика, хімія, англійська, німецька, французька, іспанська мова.
Мінімальний, або «пороговий», бал, який необхідно набрати вступнику на НМТ, щоб отримати 100 рейтингових балів і право взагалі вступати до вишів, для двох обов’язкових предметів буде трохи збільшено. Підвищення стосуватиметься української мови (з 7 до 8 тестових балів) та історії України (з 8 до 9 тестових балів).
Замість результатів НМТ 2026 року, можна буде скористатись результатами НМТ 2023, 2024 або 2025 року або результатами національних випускних іспитів після середньої школи в країнах Європи.
Вступники на мистецькі та спортивні спеціальності складатимуть не лише мультитест, але й творчий конкурс у закладі вищої освіти. Його вага порівняно з усіма предметами НМТ буде збільшена. Для розрахунку конкурсного бала у 2026 році для оцінки за творчий конкурс на мистецькі спеціальності буде використаний ваговий коефіцієнт 0,7.
У 2026 році усі вступники, які будуть проходити творчий конкурс чи інші вступні випробування в закладі освіти, будуть давати згоду на відеофіксацію їх іспитів з подальшим оприлюдненням і зберіганням записів протягом року.
Розрахунок конкурсного бала
Усі вступники у 2026 році братимуть участь у конкурсному відборі з використанням однакового розрахунку конкурсного бала.
Для розрахунку конкурсного бала абітурієнтів використовуватимуться вагові коефіцієнти для предметів НМТ та творчого конкурсу.
Також у формулі розрахунку буде використаний регіональний, галузевий коефіцієнти та додаткові 15 балів за умови успішного завершення вступником «нульового курсу» в тому закладі вищої освіти, куди він подає заяву про вступ.
Вступники будуть допускатись до конкурсного відбору на бюджетні місця в разі наявності конкурсного бала не менше ніж 130.
Для вступників на спеціальності C1 «Економіка та міжнародні економічні відносини», D4 «Публічне управління та адміністрування», конкурсний бал не може бути менше ніж 150.
Новації для деяких пільговиків
У 2026 році передбачено збереження квот, пільг та пільгових категорій, зокрема для жителів тимчасово окупованих територій.
Водночас у 2026 році МОН уточнило, що вступники, які належать до деяких пільгових категорій, зможуть обирати підставу свого вступу: абітурієнти-пільговики матимуть право і складати НМТ, і вступати за співбесідою.
Водночас, якщо за результатами НМТ вони не наберуть необхідний пороговий бал хоча б з одного предмета, такі вступники втрачають право на бюджетне місце. Тобто вони зможуть пройти співбесіду у виші, але матимуть право вступати лише на контракт.
До переліку таких пільгових категорій належатимуть особи, визнані постраждалими учасниками Революції Гідності, особи з інвалідністю внаслідок війни, учасники бойових дій, а також вступники, які планують навчатись на контракті за іншою спеціальністю на основі бакалавра або магістра.
Нюанси вступної кампанії
Важливими новаціями 2026 року є відмова Міністерства освіти і науки від практики подання для вступу мотиваційних листів та зменшення кількості заяв.
Для вступу, як і в попередні роки, вступник повинен буде з 1 липня до 15 жовтня створити електронний кабінет, де буде подавати заяви, відстежувати хід вступної кампанії та підтверджувати рекомендації на вступ.
Упродовж вступної кампанії абітурієнт зможе подати до 12 заяв про вступ, з них до 5 заяв на бюджет.
Усім заявам і на бюджет, і на контракт, які вступник буде подавати під час основного періоду вступної кампанії, він має присвоїти пріоритети, які вказують на ступінь його бажання навчатись саме там, куди подана заява, де 1 – найвищий пріоритет.
Водночас якщо вступник планує брати участь і в додаткових хвилях набору на контракт, які проводяться після завершення основного періоду, він має «залишити невикористаними», тобто не поданими в основний період кілька заяв, адже 12 – це загальна максимальна кількість заяв, яку може подати вступник до 15 жовтня.
За результатами конкурсного відбору вступникам, які подали заяви в основний період, будуть надані рекомендації до зарахування за алгоритмом адресного розміщення.
Оприлюднення списку рекомендованих на бюджет і на контракт з розміщенням інформації про надання рекомендацій в електронних кабінетах вступників буде здійснено не пізніше 6 серпня.
Вступники, які отримали рекомендації до зарахування, мають підтвердити вибір місця навчання, виконати вимоги до зарахування та укласти договір про навчання до 18:00 09 серпня.
Зарахування вступників, які отримали рекомендації до зарахування, підтвердили вибір місця навчання, виконали вимоги до зарахування та уклали договір про навчання, здійснюється не пізніше 11 серпня.
Після внесення вступника до наказу про зарахування всі інші заяви деактивуються, їх повторна активація може бути здійснена вступником через електронний кабінет вступника або в приймальній комісії за потреби.
Грантова підтримка
Вступники, які складуть НМТ на понад 140-150 балів і вступлять на контракт, зможуть претендувати на отримання державного гранту на здобуття вищої освіти
Така фінансова підтримка від держави частково, а в деяких випадках повністю відшкодовує вартість навчання студента на контракті.
Розмір державного відшкодування залежить від кількості балів, які набрав учасник НМТ, спеціальності, на яку вступить абітурієнт, та місця розташування закладу вищої освіти, де навчатиметься студент. Дізнатись більше про грантову підтримку можна за посиланням.
