Admission to graduate studies

Those wishing to enroll in studies for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy / Doctor of Arts will take the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE), as well as take the unified entrance test in research methodology (UET) .

UET – a form of external assessment of an applicant's preparedness in research methodology for obtaining the third (educational-scientific, educational-creative) level of higher education.

UEE – a form of external assessment of an applicant's preparedness for obtaining the second (master's) or third (educational-scientific, educational-creative) level of higher education, which combines a general academic competence test and a foreign language test (English, German, French, Spanish at the applicant's choice).

GAT tasks  will be compiled in accordance with the General Academic Competence Test Program, and for foreign languages – in accordance with the Unified Entrance Exam Program for foreign languages. Examples of foreign language tests from previous years can be found on the website.

UET test tasks will be compiled in accordance with the Unified Entrance Test Program in research methodology.

The content and characteristics of the UET test will be developed by the Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

To register, potential PhD students need to contact the admissions office of one of the higher education institutions within the deadlines established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

In accordance with MES Order No. 1701 dated 24.12.2025, main and additional testing sessions are scheduled for this year. The main sessions will be held from July 14–29; additional sessions — August 24–28.
