History and Archaeology – an extremely interesting and romantic specialty that allows diving into the captivating world of the past, understanding much of what is happening today. The educational program combines general humanities, professional and practical components, providing thorough mastery of fundamental knowledge in history and archaeology, and the skills of scientific research.

The educational program is based on contemporary scientific knowledge about the goals and values of general historical education, aimed at professional-research activity in relevant institutions (museums, research institutes, funds, public organizations, publishers, etc.). The educational program harmoniously combines theoretical and practical studies with ethnological, archaeological, museum, archival and research practices. Central Ukrainian National Technical University provides history students with the opportunity for in-depth study of English; internships abroad and participation in international projects.

The chosen specialty – «History and Archaeology» – will allow you to realize yourself in the following positions:

• archaeologist;
• archaeologist-museologist;
• archivist;
• archaeological monuments expert;
• history lecturer; researcher at a scientific research institution;
• monument conservator;
• manager of archival and state institutions.

The department runs a PhD program in History and Archaeology, which provides the opportunity to obtain the Doctor of Philosophy degree in specialty 032 «History and Archaeology».
