Bachelors in the educational program "Computer Science" are prepared for work in the field of computer science, and also acquire skills to apply mathematical methods and algorithmic principles in modeling, design, development, and maintenance of information technologies, to carry out the development, implementation, and maintenance of intelligent systems for analysis and processing of data of organizational, technical, natural, and socio-economic systems.
Bachelors under the educational program «Computer Science» are prepared to work in the field of computer science, and also acquire the skills to apply mathematical methods and algorithmic principles in modeling, design, development and maintenance of information technologies, to carry out development, implementation and maintenance of intelligent systems for analysis and processing of data of organizational, technical, natural and socio-economic systems.

Objects of professional activity of graduates: mathematical, information, and simulation models of real phenomena, objects, systems, and processes, subject areas, representation of data and knowledge, methods and technologies for obtaining, storing, processing, transmitting, and using information, intelligent data analysis and decision-making, theory, analysis, development, efficiency evaluation, implementation of algorithms, high-performance computing, including parallel computing and big data. Learning objectives: training specialists capable of conducting theoretical and experimental research in the field of computer science; applying mathematical methods and algorithmic principles in modeling, designing, developing, and maintaining information technologies; carrying out the development, implementation, and maintenance of intelligent systems for analysis and data processing of organizational, technical, natural, and socio-economic systems.

Objects of graduates' professional activity: mathematical, informational, and simulation models of real phenomena, objects, systems and processes, subject areas, presentation of data and knowledge, methods and technologies of obtaining, storing, processing, transmission and use of information, intellectual data analysis and decision-making, theory, analysis, development, assessment of effectiveness, implementation of algorithms, high-performance computing, including parallel computing and big data. Learning outcomes: training of specialists capable of conducting theoretical and experimental research in the field of computer science; applying mathematical methods and algorithmic principles in modeling, design, development and maintenance of information technologies; carrying out development, implementation and maintenance of intelligent systems for data analysis and processing of organizational, technical, natural and socio-economic systems.

The material and technical base is constantly being updated and expanded. In particular, in the 2022/23 academic year, a number of special equipment was purchased, and the licensed software product for certification and cryptographic information protection "Shyfr-X.509" was obtained. In the 2023/24 academic year, a number of special equipment and tools for laboratories were purchased: soldering stations, a video monitoring system, and a microcontroller programming kit. During the educational process, multimedia equipment is used, and computer laboratories are equipped with computers using specialized application software packages. A terminal architecture based on thin clients has been implemented, which uses a server to store all programs and data, and client machines themselves, which have access to the server's resources via the department's local network. One of the laboratories is equipped with a special rack (a set of active network equipment) for studying the subject "Computer Networks".

In the 2023/24 academic year, a number of special pieces of equipment and laboratory equipment were purchased: soldering stations, a video monitoring system, a set for programming microcontrollers. During the educational process, multimedia equipment is used, computer laboratories are equipped with computers using specialized software packages. Bachelors in the specialty 122 "Computer Sciences" are trained by the Department of "Cybersecurity and Software".
