Bachelors of the educational program "Computer Engineering" in the specialty 123 "Computer Engineering" are prepared for work in the field of programming, development and maintenance of computer programs, as well as for the design and maintenance of computer systems and networks.

Bachelors in the educational program “Computer Engineering” in the specialty 123 “Computer Engineering” are prepared for work in the field of programming, development and maintenance of computer programs, as well as for the design and maintenance of computer systems and networks.

Objects of professional activity of graduates: software and hardware (hardware, programmable, reconfigurable, system and application software) of computers and computer systems for general and special purposes, including stationary, mobile, embedded, distributed, etc., local, global computer networks and the Internet, cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things, IT infrastructures, interfaces and protocols for the interaction of their components, information processes, technologies, methods, ways and systems of automated and automatic design; debugging, production and operation, design documentation, standards, procedures and means of supporting the life cycle management of the specified software and hardware, methods and ways of information processing, mathematical models of computational processes, technologies for performing calculations, including high-performance, parallel, distributed, mobile, web-based and cloud, green (energy-efficient), secure, autonomous, adaptive, intelligent, smart, etc., architecture and organization of the functioning of the corresponding software and hardware.
Objects of graduates' professional activity: program-technical means (hardware, software, reconfigurable, system and application software) of computers and computer systems of universal and special purpose, including stationary, mobile, embedded, distributed, etc., local, global computer networks and the Internet, cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things, IT infrastructures, interfaces and protocols for interaction of their components, information processes, technologies, methods, techniques and systems of automated and automatic design; commissioning, production and operation, design documentation, standards, procedures and tools for lifecycle management support of the indicated program-technical means, methods and ways of information processing, mathematical models of computational processes, technologies of performing calculations, including high-performance, parallel, distributed, mobile, web-based and cloud, green (energy-efficient), secure, autonomous, adaptive, intelligent, smart, etc., architecture and organization of functioning of the respective program-technical means.

The material and technical base is constantly being updated and expanded. In particular, in the 2022/23 academic year, a number of special equipment was purchased, and the licensed software product for certification and cryptographic information protection "Shyfr-X.509" was obtained. In the 2023/24 academic year, a number of special equipment and tools for laboratories were purchased: soldering stations, a video monitoring system, and a kit for microcontroller programming. During the educational process, multimedia equipment is used, and computer laboratories are equipped with computers using specialized application software packages. A terminal architecture based on thin clients has been implemented, which uses a server to store all programs and data, and client machines themselves, which have access to the server's resources via the department's local network. One of the laboratories is equipped with a special rack (a set of active network equipment) for studying the subject "Computer Networks".

Material base is constantly updated and expanded. In particular, in the 2022/23 academic year, a number of specialized equipment was purchased, and a licensed software product for certification and cryptographic protection of information «Cipher-X.509» was obtained. In the 2023/24 academic year, a number of specialized equipment and outfitting for laboratories were purchased: soldering stations, a video monitoring system, a set for programming microcontrollers. During the educational process, multimedia equipment is used; computer laboratories are equipped with computers using specialized application software packages. Internships and practical training take place at the largest enterprises in the region, such as Radiy, Telecom, and Internet service providers, while students who choose the programming track complete their internships at the largest IT companies in the region.
The specialty is focused on system software and the design of automated systems. At the same time, the approved educational program for the specialty is structured in such a way that the student also gains maximum skills in applied programming.
Bachelors in the specialty 123 - "Computer Engineering" are trained by the Department of "Cybersecurity and Software".

Practice and Internship takes place at the region's largest enterprises such as Radio, Telecom, Internet providers, and students who choose the programming track undergo internships in the region's largest IT companies. 
The specialty focuses on systems software and the design of automated systems. At the same time, the approved educational program for the specialty is structured so that the student gains as many skills as possible also in applied programming. 
Bachelors in the specialty 123 - «Computer Engineering» are trained by the Department of Cybersecurity and Software.
