F5 Cybersecurity and Information Protection

The specialty is focused on training specialists for organizations such as: the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, cyber police, information security and data protection departments of commercial and government institutions, and bank information security departments.
Key skills acquired by a student studying in the 125th specialty: analysis and audit of organizational information security, design of secure systems and networks, database protection, software and technical means of information protection, authentication and digital certification systems, and programming skills.

Specialty is oriented toward training specialists for organizations: State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, Cyber Police, departments of information security and information protection of commercial and state institutions, departments of information security of banks.
Key skills, that a student who studies for the 125th specialty acquires: analysis and auditing of organizational information security, design of secure systems and networks, protection of databases, software and hardware means of information protection, authentication systems, digital certification, programming skills.

The material and technical base is constantly being updated and expanded. In particular, in the 2022/23 academic year, a number of special equipment was purchased, and a licensed software product for certification and cryptographic information protection "Shyfr-X.509" was obtained. A server was designed and implemented with the deployment of a cyber range for practicing skills in information attacks, their monitoring, and countering them.
The main places for internships are: cyber police (city department), tax service, Internet providers, software development companies: MIF_projects, Onix, Epam, and other companies that have an IT department.

Material base is constantly updated and expanded. In particular, in the 2022/23 academic year, a number of pieces of specialized equipment were purchased, and a licensed software product for information certification and cryptographic protection «Cipher-X.509» was obtained. A server designed and implemented for the deployment of a cyber polygon to practice information-attack skills, their monitoring and countermeasures.
The main places of internship are: Cyber Police (city department), the Tax Service, Internet providers, software development companies: MIF_projects, Onix, Epam, and other companies that have an IT department within their staff.

Department of Cybersecurity and Software Engineering at KNTU is the first and currently the only one in the Kirovohrad region that trains bachelors in the specialty "Cybersecurity and Information Protection". For several years in a row, specialty 125 has had the highest rating and demand among applicants within the specialties of the 12th field.

Bachelors in specialty 125 - "Cybersecurity and Information Protection" are trained by the Department of "Cybersecurity and Software Engineering".

Department of Cybersecurity and Software Engineering CNTU is the first and only today in Kirovohrad Oblast that trains bachelors in the specialty “Cybersecurity and Information Security”. Specialty 125 for several years in a row has the highest rating and demand among applicants within the specialties of the 12th field.

Bachelor's in Specialty 125 - «Cybersecurity and Information Security» is carried out by the Department «Cybersecurity and Software Engineering».
