About the faculty
The faculty was established on June 9, 1967. The faculty provides training for specialists at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of education in the fields of information technology and mechanical engineering in the following specialties: F3 «Computer Science», F5 «Cybersecurity and Information Protection», F7 «Computer Engineering», G9 «Applied Mechanics» (EPP «Technology Engineering, Mechatronics and 3D Printing»),
Факультет створений 09 червня 1967 року. На факультеті ведеться підготовка фахівців за першим (бакалаврським) та другим (магістерським) рівнями освіти в галузях інформаційних технологій та механічної інженерії за спеціальностями: F3 «Комп’ютерні науки», F5 «Кібербезпека та захист інформації», F7 «Комп’ютерна інженерія», G9 «Прикладна механіка» (ОПП «Інжиніринг технологій, мехатроніка і 3D друк»),
G8 "Materials Science" (EPP "Applied Materials Science and Engineering"), G11 "Mechanical Engineering" (specialization G11.03 "Technological Machines and Equipment"). All specialties of the faculty are accredited and have full-time and part-time forms of study.
G8 «Матеріалознавство» (ОПП «Прикладне матеріалознавство та інжиніринг»), G11 «Машинобудування» (спеціалізація G11.03 "Технологічні машини та обладнання"). Усі спеціальності факультету акредитовані та мають денну і заочну форму навчання.
The faculty departments have a modern material and technical base and a highly qualified teaching staff. The educational process is supported by textbooks, study guides, scientific and methodological developments, computer equipment, multimedia equipment, machining centers, industrial robots, and 3D printing equipment.
Кафедри факультету мають сучасну матеріальну технічну базу і висококваліфікований професорсько-викладацький склад. Навчальний процес забезпечений підручниками, навчальними посібниками, науково-методичними розробками, комп’ютерною технікою, мультимедійним оснащенням, обробними центрами, промисловими роботами та обладнанням для 3D друку.
When training specialists in the field of information technology, progressive computer technologies and current programming languages are used, while the training of mechanical engineering specialists combines general engineering preparation with the extensive use of computer equipment in the design of various machines and products, along with the study of the most common software products.
При підготовці фахівців галузі інформаційних технологій використовуються прогресивні комп’ютерні технології і актуальні мови програмування, а при підготовці спеціалістів машинобудівного спрямування поєднується загальноінженерна підготовка з широким використанням комп’ютерної техніки при проектуванні різних машин і виробів з вивченням найбільш поширених програмних продуктів.
Higher education students of the faculty have repeatedly won prizes at all-Ukrainian Olympiads in professional disciplines and specialized competitions for student research papers.
Здобувачі вищої освіти факультету неодноразово посідали призові місця на всеукраїнських олімпіадах із фахових дисциплін та профільних конкурсах студентських наукових робіт.
