Preparatory Department

The Preparatory Department of CNTU has been operating since 1993. Its goal is to prepare future specialists for further education at the main faculties of our university or at other higher education institutions in Ukraine.

At the Preparatory Department, foreign students study the Ukrainian language, as well as general education subjects according to their chosen profile: engineering-technical or medical-biological.

Classes at the Preparatory Department can begin in any month of the academic year as groups are formed. The duration of study is 9 months. The majority of the study time is dedicated to language training. Special attention is given to learning scientific style of communication as a foundation for quality professional training of foreign students.

The academic process at the Preparatory Department includes classroom lectures and practical classes, independent student work, and consultations.

Bachelor’s degree is an educational qualification obtained at the first level of higher education and is awarded by a higher education institution upon the successful completion by the student of the educational and professional program.

Master’s degree is an educational qualification obtained at the second level of higher education and is awarded by a higher education institution (or research institution) upon the successful completion by the student of the corresponding educational program.

Admission of foreign citizens to the Master’s degree program is conducted on a competitive basis and includes entrance examinations.

Postgraduate Studies at CNTU

Postgraduate studies at the Central Ukrainian National Technical University are offered in the following specialties:

• 051 Economics (Field of Knowledge: 05 Social and Behavioral Sciences; Educational and Professional Program: Economics)

• 133 Industrial Engineering (Field of Knowledge: 13 Mechanical Engineering; Educational and Professional Program: Industrial Engineering)

At the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, the following specialized academic councils operate:

• Specialized Academic Council D 23.073.01 with the right to review and conduct defenses of dissertations for the degree of Doctor (Candidate) of Technical Sciences in the specialty 05.05.11 “Machines and Mechanization Means for Agricultural Production”;

• Specialized Academic Council K 23.073.02 with the right to review and conduct defenses of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialties: 05.03.01 “Mechanical Processing, Machine Tools, and Instruments”; 05.13.07 “Automation of Control Processes”;

• Specialized Academic Council K 23.073.03 with the right to review and conduct defenses of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in the specialties: 08.00.03 “Economics and Management of National Economy”; 08.00.07 “Demography, Labor Economics, Social Economy and Policy”.
