Accessibility conditions for learning for persons with special educational needs
For students with special educational needs, the timetable is formed in such a way that classroom sessions (lectures, practicals, laboratory sessions) take place on the first floor of the university's educational buildings, where convenient access to the premises is provided for such students (Conclusion on accessibility for persons with disabilities and other mobility-impaired groups).
In the CNTU main building, for conducting lectures, laboratories and practical classes for students of the Center for Inclusive Education, separate auditoria have been allocated (102, 108). Auditorium 102 is equipped with laptops and multimedia equipment. Also, for citizens with special needs, convenient access has been provided to the training and laboratory building of the Department of Operation and Repair of Machines of CNTU and to the training and laboratory building of the Department of General Agriculture CNTU.
For students with special needs who are unable to regularly attend the higher education institution, learning is offered through distance education technologies. The university has implemented distance education technology in the learning process based on the Moodle platform and operates the electronic library service.
Admission to study for persons with special educational needs is carried out in accordance with CNTU's Admission Rules of CNTU. Benefits are available to persons with disabilities of groups I and II, as well as childhood disabilities. The admissions committee when accepting documents records individuals with special educational needs and transmits information about them to the Center for Inclusive Education. Education of persons with special educational needs is conducted in accordance with curricula for the chosen specialty (educational program). In some cases, considering individual characteristics of students (based on the student's application and in the presence of a recommendation from medical institutions) training may be organized under an individual plan or under an individual schedule.
The organization of the educational process for persons with special educational needs is carried out and supervised in accordance with current legislation and other normative documents of the university that regulate student education at CNTU.
