Nationwide information campaign «Spali» FSB officer»
Attention students!
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, continues the nationwide information campaign «Spali» by an FSB officer. It is aimed at countering recruitment of youth by Russian special services and preventing arsons, terrorist acts, and sabotage.
Crimes such as arson of property belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, state institutions, or their mining are classified by the Criminal Code of Ukraine as terrorism or sabotage. And they carry severe criminal liability even for minors.
One component of the information campaign is the social video clip «Spali» of an FSB officer, prepared by the SBU in cooperation with the renowned Ukrainian film director Liubomyr Levytsky. The video informs citizens, and in particular youth, about the inevitability of punishment for such crimes. After all, Russian security services actively «hunt» minors online, offering criminal «part-time jobs».
During 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained more than 450 people who, under the instructions of Russian handlers, were involved in arson in Ukraine. In fact, Ukrainian law enforcement authorities locate all perpetrators. And instead of «easy money», the suspects receive charges from the SBU and the prospect of imprisonment.
The video shows the story of two minors – a boy and a girl – who agreed to the proposal of handlers from the Russian FSB to commit a crime, but were detained by the Ukrainian security service.
Using the key message – – «Don’t burn your own! «Spali» the enemy!», the SBU calls on young people to report any recruitment attempts in special chat-bot «Spali» FSB officer» t.me/spaly_fsb_bot.
To do this, it is enough to provide details of the enemy's offers, as well as the phone number or nickname of the person who induced to commit the crime. The information provided is confidential; it is thoroughly checked by Security Service personnel. The obtained data will help the SBU to more effectively counter intelligence and subversive activities of Russian special services.
As of today, the chat-bot «Spali» of an FSB officer, which started operating in mid-December 2024, has already received over 1,300 messages. All of them pertain to attempts by representatives of Russia's security services to recruit Ukrainians to commit various kinds of crimes, aimed at destabilizing the situation in our state and reducing its defense capability.
